Since its inception in 1998, VMware, has always been a front-runner in releasing products which are revolutionary, disruptive & way ahead of it’s competition!

If one sneaks into the current product portfolio, it’s quite natural to feel overwhelmed! However, if one contextualise & understand the purpose these are trying to serve, then all of these start aligning naturally!

Think of the lego blocks — Once you start joining individual pieces, its only then you realise the bigger picture!

In this episode, I am going to introduce to you how various products of VMware are broadly categorised. In following episodes, I will then expand each of these categories individually.

What is that one key problem statement that VMware is trying to help the enterprises with?

And answer to it is —

“Seamlessly enabling the enterprises to embrace their multi-cloud journey!”

Huge, isn’t it? Think of the limitless possibilities this opens up!

However, the ground reality is — Adoption of multi-cloud comes with lots of complexities. In order to grab the market share and for customer retentions, in the current scenario, each cloud provider have built their products & solutions such that these are existing in a silos; with each of them having their own administrative & management plane.

With such divergences, it is tough for enterprises to embrace a multi-cloud strategy for their business!

VMware is trying to address exactly this pain points of enterprises with its Cross-Cloud Services portfolio! Think of it as an integrated portfolio of SaaS solutions providing a consistent approach to –

  • Build
  • Deploy
  • Manage
  • Connect
